A one-week immersive journey on how influence, diplomacy and negotiation operate across global arenas, from hospitality and gastronomy to international institutions. Learn how influence is designed and exercised in real-world settings.

Program Structure

  •  Opening circle & programme framing; reflection on identity, hospitality and inclusion/exclusion; food memory icebreaker; welcome apéro/dinner to establish trust and psychological safety.
  • Morning: understanding how influence and diplomacy operate through soft power and trust.
  • Lab: design a “moment of welcome” for high-stakes and cross-cultural contexts.
  • Afternoon: Beau-Rivage Palace  visit: explore how influence is shaped. through space, rituals and atmosphere at the highest level of hospitality.
  • Afternoon: Olympic Museum, visit: understand how values, symbolism and global events are used to shape identity, trust and influence.
  • Morning: World Economic Forum visit: understand how convening shapes agendas, influence and global dialogue.
  • Morning: United Nations visit: observe how multilateral negotiation and alignment operate in practice.
  • Afternoon: Embassy visit: explore how cultural diplomacy builds relationships and trust across contexts.
  • Evening: Refettorio Geneva visit: experience how hospitality and gastronomy can signal dignity, inclusion and social impact.
  • Morning: Reflect on Geneva, analyse power, trust, tension and visibility across institutions.
  • Lab: use “the language of the table” to understand how settings signal hierarchy and inclusion.
  • Afternoon: Practice negotiation tools including interests vs positions, active listening and framing.
  • Morning: BDS visit, explore how gastronomy and food are used to shape identity, storytelling and cultural diplomacy.
  • Afternoon: Capstone lab, design and present a diplomatic experience including menu, narrative, hosting concept and stakeholder context.

How will you be evaluated ?

Assessment is based on a team capstone project developed throughout the week, focused on designing a diplomatic experience as a tool of influence, including stakeholder context, cultural and relational dynamics, menu and narrative design, and intended diplomatic outcome.

This is complemented by active participation in labs and discussions and reflective contributions during debrief sessions.

Guest Lecturers

Throughout the week, participants will have the unique opportunity to meet ambassadors, renowned chefs, and expert negotiators, creating meaningful connections while learning directly from the best.

Admissions & Fees

Admission Criteria:
  • Academic background: minimum 1-year post-high school studies.
  • Minimum 18 years old
  • Proficiency in English: strong B2 level or, preferably, C1 level CEFR
Fees:
  • Tuition Fees: CHF 2,500
