Food Festival FAQ's

Arrival Info: What is the best way to reach the campus and is there parking available?

Public transportation: Use the post bus line 42 Chur Postautostation - Passugg Hotelfachschule, the bus stop is directly in front of the school.

The departure times from Chur are:

Car: There are only limited parking spaces available. There are a few parking spaces in front of the campus, at the Passugg Water Factory and at the Fontana Hotel. Parking signs will be on site. We recommend arriving by public transportation.

Are there vegetarian options?

Yes, numerous stands offer vegetarian dishes. You can find an overview of all veggie options on the veggie stand plan .

How does the cashless system work?

With your ticket for CHF 48 per person, you can enjoy unlimited food at all festival stands as well as a welcome drink. Additional beverages at the drink stands are not included and must be purchased separately. Please note: all stands are cashless. You can pay using Twint or your debit/credit card. If you have any questions, our team at the reception desk will be happy to help.

Is there a program for children?

Yes, on the 1st floor (room P113) there is a supervised children's corner with games, activities and food for our younger guests.

Is there a special program for alumni?

Yes, former students benefit from exclusive offers such as check-in with drinks voucher, Alumni Corner, Campus Tour and Alumni Apéro. You can find more information in the alumni section of the landing page.

Where are the toilets located?

You will find the toilets behind reception, next to the Market Jardin or on the 2nd basement floor. Barrier-free toilets are available on the 2nd basement floor.

Is there a first aid station?

Yes, the first aid station is located on the 1st floor.

Will photos be taken at the festival?

Yes, a photographer will accompany the event. The pictures will appear on our social media channels and will be used for other marketing activities. If you do not wish to be photographed, please contact the photographer directly.

Can I win something?

Take part in the Food Festival Quiz and win a restaurant voucher for 4 people.

Can I get to know the school?

Yes, with pleasure! There are two possibilities:

School tours: School tours start every hour on the hour (12:00, 13:00, 14:00 and 15:00). The meeting point is the terrace.
Information stand: Directly opposite the reception you will find an information stand where you can get advice on all the training and further education programs at EHL Hotelfachschule Passugg.

What happens in bad weather?

Even in bad weather, you are in good hands with us. Most of the stands are located indoors, while the outdoor stands are all covered. Depending on the weather, the live band plays either outside or indoors.

Drinks voucher: Register at reception for alumni check-in and collect your drinks voucher worth CHF 20.
Alumni Corner: Enjoy access to the exclusive Alumni Corner in the Wandelhalle/Galery throughout the day.
Campus Tour: An exclusive Alumni Campus Tour starts at 13:00 (meeting point: Wandelhalle).
Alumni aperitif: At 14:00 we invite you to a Jaya Prosecco aperitif in the Alumni Corner - with a welcome from our School Director Ulrike Kuhnhenn.
